What is the best way to record a windows XP machine

hey guys,
I want to build a winxp system soon using a old gateway machine (pretty sure a socket 775 P4) and I want to be able to record gameplay and stuff to make videos on games that don't like win11.
Question is how the hell do I do that on winxp?
Are there (preferably cheap) external capture cards I need or is it possible to capture natively?
