Windows 8 keeps auto shutting down randomly when left alone

I keep trying to download things when I am at college but find out my computer has shut down when I hav left it alone for a few hours. This sometimes does not happen but most of the times does. I have a steam app which tells me if my PC is on and after I left my pc for 1 hour on monday, It had shut itsself down and forceshut down everything including STEAM and other things. How do i stop this? I have edited the power savings to high poerformance and also set the computer to never sleep or hibinate but sleep and hybinate is not force shutting the computer down randomly.
