Your Phone Companion Issues Opening Phone Screen

Edit: SOLVED. I figured out if I turn off my laptop's bluetooth prior to tethering the internet from my phone then I can always open the phone screen, no "connect to same internet" issue. After opening the phone screen of Your Phone I can then turn bluetooth back on and it all works.

Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.

When my desktop client for Your Phone is open, and connected successfully with my phone receiving notifications, messages etc., I am experiencing issues. Half the time I can click on “Open Phone Screen” and it be successful, and half the time I get the following error within/after the “Loading Phone Screen” window opens.

“Connect to the same Wi-Fi

To use Phone screen on your PC, make sure your Android device and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi”

However, my setup, and connections to the internet never change. It is always the same, but it is always me tethering the internet from my phone via Pdanet (this is for a number of travel/access reasons). Today it is not working, yesterday it was, the day before it wouldn’t. Yet I have not moved locations, nor changed anything within my phone or laptop.

Something is happening to cause it work and then not and then work. And damn if I know where to look.

I really love not having to pick up my phone to control some aspects of it, just wish I could all the time.

Please advise if you can.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on Android 11

Laptop: Windows 11

Both applications, on phone and laptop, are up-to-date with updates.

Thank you
