Problem I am a gamer and would like to play games at 75hz.
My monitor is an Acer s231hl which, according to the specifications, supports 75hz, and in some places they even list it at 1080p. According to my drivers (amd catalyst 11.9) I can flip the monitor to 75hz, but only at 1280 x 1024 resolution. I don't mind playing at a lower resolution, but it's a widescreen monitor and it stretches when displaying at that aspect ratio. When I change scaling setting in the drivers, it adds black bars to the sides, but flips my refresh rate to 59 ಠ_à²
I would love to set the monitor's resolution to 1280 x 720 @ 75 hz but in both the driver and the windows advanced monitor options there's just no way to do it.
Suggestions?
