Do people worry about the long term health effects of living on top of or next to a Superfund site?

I'm looking at the Superfund map and like half of Greenpoint and East Williamsburg is on top of one.
Do people decide to live or not to live somewhere given the location of the site? I feel like it's something no one talks about at all.
