How to play against Renekton

I recently had a game why where I was Jax playing against a Renekton. Learning from experience, I know Jax is can’t win against Renekton early lane phase, so I played as safe as possible. However, Renekton was still able to dove me at lv 5 and score first blood when I have armour boots and ult. He simply dashed away when I used my ult, and dove me under turret again when my ult was gone.

I’m not a solo lane main, and I found myself always losing to Renekton. Can’t someone tell me how to play against Renekton?
