My players convinced Illig to adopt democracy. Anything fun I can do with that?

Basically question in the title. When they found the bullywug hut, my party convinced Illig that turning the Soggy Court into a democratic group with actual elections would be the best way to not only become the leader, but also keep someone else from trying to overthrow him. They’re getting close to moving on to Tither so not a whole lot of time to let it play out in the short term, so I’m curious if any of y’all have some ideas on how this could affect the short term and long term parts of the adventure.
