Sidescrolling platform/Adventure/roguelike games?

Need suggestion about new games to play, getting tired of Marios and such happly colorfull themed games.. Wish I could find some cool games like Heavy Rain, Tallowmere, Enter the Dungeon and so on.
Do you know any?
I recently have been playing Lost Cave and A Shadow's Take, but I don't really like the graphics and gameplay of the two.
The ones I like the most right now are Rayman and DK
