This was the 1st Thanksgiving without my wife and my kids without their mom. It certainly felt weird. I talked to my kids and ended up flying from CA to AZ to spend the day with my newly engaged daughter and her fiance and the fiance mom and brother. It was at my daughter's new house. 1st let me say I had a wonderful day. More important I watched my daughter in the kitchen getting food ready her fiance right by her side helping. They were cute as ever. As I watched I remember my wife's and mine 1st Thanksgiving. It made smile to see this young couple starting their life. Sad my wife can't see but watching my daughter do the things her mom taught her was a tribute to my wife On a side note their toilet was leaking. My future SIL is an electrical engineer so plumbing isn't his thing. So I tell get me some tools. So as I'm fixing it I think about how FIL would always fix stuff at our house. It brought happy memories on a day that could be sad. Life is full circle. I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying I had a good but I thought I would share there are good days to had. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
