Unfortunately, my laptop unceremoniously died last Thursday. The logic board failed and it needs to be fixed. Thankfully, warranty will cover it, but I won't get it back till end of the week at the earliest. It's a brand new 2020 MacBook Pro that I just got this May!!!
The bad news is, I'm an idiot and didn't check in my code for the last few releases. The good news is, I didn't lose everything. I'm still waiting to find out if they can retrieve my data, but if they can't, then I will have to rebuild everything since the update that included photos (including the Photos support changes).
This means a couple of things:
- If I lose my data and have to rebuild, you may need to set up the photos/backgrounds again. Sorry!
- I won't be able to do anything until I get my laptop back, so any bug fixes, etc will be delayed a bit (and delayed even more if I have to rebuild).
Also, I just started a full time job (yay! I was unemployed since January!), so I won't have as much time to dedicate, but I still plan to continue supporting Widget Wizard moving forward.
What's frustrating is I already have the update that turns it into a free app done and approved, but I don't want to launch it since I have no capability to make any fixes.
Learn from my mistakes: ALWAYS BACKUP!
