I purchased this soap after seeing a post by the vendor here. I did a little digging and could not find many reviews, so I decided to give it a go.

Scent: The vendor's website lists the scent as "Warm, rich, and alluring.  It has a sweet vanilla tobacco base, with black coffee notes, and glowing warm top notes." For me, that was really accurate.

The first thing I picked up was a sort of dark vanilla followed by some coffee notes. Everything is pretty balanced. Nothing jumped out and slapped me across the face. I find myself picking up the puck and giving it a good whiff simply because I like how it smells. That being said, the scent is much gentler than I was expecting. Not weak, but it didn't pop as much as I was thinking it would. The scent stayed consistent both in power and notes once it was lathered.

Lather: I chose to face lather this soap. When I took my brush to it, I left a little more water in then usual. The soap seemed to load well, but was a bit frothy which could have been the water I left in the brush. Once I seemed to have enough, onto the face it went. That froth quickly changed into a nice cushy lather! I needed to add more water to get the slickness I like, but this soap took it like a champ. I would say this is a pretty thirsty soap. Nothing overboard, but don't be afraid to keep adding as it'll handle it.

Once I started shaving, I got good glide with my razor (Slim set at 5 with a Feather blade) and no irritation. I had enough soap in the brush from that initial load to lather for 3 passes.

Post Shave: My face felt pretty darn good after this shave. I chose not to rinse my face right afterwards to see how things felt. As I was cleaning my gear, there was no drying or irritation. My skin is pretty sensitive so I can only do 3 passes about every 3rd day. I was bracing for that slow warming feeling I get when my skin begins to tell me it's not happy, but it never came. A cold water rinse left my face feeling moisturized and clean.

Overall I liked this soap quite a bit. I was hoping for a slightly stronger scent, but was not disappointed with it. I will definitely be adding this soap into my daily rotation. For a first time experience with Oz Shaving Co, I'm pretty impressed.
