What did I find?
Post Body

Alright r/wicked_edge, I have been browsing here off and on for probably a year or so. I have yet to complete my first DE shave. I backed the Rockwell Model T on Kickstarter and just decided to wait until it gets here to get started. I've noticed that most of you not only enjoy shaving more, but that many of you actually turn this into a hobby and collect various razors and stuff. I decided to ask my grandma if she had any of my grandpa's old shaving stuff. My grandma's is a bit of a collector (hoarder), so I expected her to have a couple things but have no idea where she had them. Well much to my surprise she not only knew where they were, but also had more than I bargained for. https://imgur.com/a/WFbME . She couldn't tell me for sure which razors were my grandpa's other than the old cartridge ones. She also knew the straight razor was my great grandfather's. Anyway, I'd like to know:

  1. What the razors are?
  2. Is there anything of particular value here? (Not to sale just curious)
  3. What is the best way to clean the razors up?
  4. How would I go about restoring them?
  5. Are the brushes usable/restorable?
  6. Is there anything here that is garbage and not worth hanging onto for practical or for display reasons?

I apologise if any of these are dumb questions, I'm very new to this :).

TLDR: asked my grandma if she had my grandpa's old shaving stuff and I got more than I bargained for.
