Looking for post-shave suggestions

Hi all,

I've only been a DE user for less than a year, so I don't have experience in a wide range of products. I'm looking for something that soothes and cools my skin after a shave. I've used Nivea Sensitive Skin After Shave Balm; it is sort of what I'm looking for, but it leaves a little bit of a sticky residue before it fully dries - is that normal? I'm also looking to try other products in the same vein. I'm currently using Dickinson's original Witch Hazel, which doesn't really soothe very well. Do people tend to use witch hazel and then an after shave balm?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
