Could the Research Team (John Carpenter's The Thing) survive a Xenomorph (Alien) attack?

Post Body

In this reality, instead of the Swedes (I mean Norwegians) trying to kill The Thing in the form of a dog, they are trying to kill a dog that has a chestburster hiding inside. The events of the film play out normally until the Chestburster has hatched, killing the dog and escaping into the base. Could the whole crew devise a proper plan to kill the Xenomorph before they all are killed?

Notes

  • The Xenomorph would have aspects of the dog, and would be categorized as a Runner

  • Instead of bringing a malformed corpse, MaCready and Dr. Copper bring a Xenomorph egg, which hatches a facehugger that plants a burster into George Bennings. This will kill George and make a human Xenomorph, as the crew doesn't know the Alien works as well as they did The Thing.

  • The crew has access to all the same equipment they have in their base

  • The Two Xenomorphs in this prompt have all the abilities a Xenomorph would naturally have
