At Zuko's coronation, Aang realizes that he hasn't really solved the problem of the Fire Nation and nothing is stopping Zuko from taking his brainwashed nation and picking right back up where Ozai left off...
In fact, Toph, Katara, Iroh...literally any bender could use their gifts to take power and dominate those around him or her. How many lives have been ruined or snuffed out because someone valued their bending over the lives of others? And did that LionTurtle really give him the power to take bending just to stop Ozai? No, Aang decides, he will not only be The Last Airbender but the Last Bender, period.
EOS Aang sets out to take the bending of every last bender on the planet. He has full access to all his powers and cannot be talked out of his goal.
Can Aang succeed where Amon failed and bring balance to the world?
