EDF in the 40k universe
Post Body

So the EDF is the Earth Defence Force.

Assuming we're using EDF 4.1, The shadow of new despair, how well would they do in the 40k universe? According to this wiki:

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Guard_Regiment

A Guard regiment can start at 100 at founding and eventually reach tens of thousands of troops. Though considering the scale of 40k, it's not surprising to hear that regiments would get replaced or subsumed by another one due to losses.

"What's that? 70% of our men have died? Acceptable losses." They just don't put much value on human life in that universe. Human life is super cheap in that setting.

Now that said, how long would the EDF last against each faction assuming the planet they're on wouldn't just get hit with a Exterminatus in the first two seconds?
