How sad... you mortals. You're always flinging yourself into the most audacious acts, with no regards to your human limitations. Not satisfied with the world the Gods granted you, you reach out to corrupt the rest of the universe... and challenge the Gods themselves. Mortals are meant to fear and revere the Gods. When you forget your place is on your knees, you are not only heretical, but pitiable.

HADES

Allies

• Hypnos and Thanatos as his subordinates

BACKGROUND

Hades grew colder, melancholic and furious with the passing of the decades since the mythological era, his nature as a righteous God who treated humanity with respect slowly turning into one of pure hatred and disgust. Humanity not only endlessly repeated their past sins, but fell deeper and deeper into a pool of violence, suffering, corruption. With time, even the Gods who ruled over and guided them came to be forgotten and ridiculed as superstitious tales.

Now, Hades wishes nothing but the absolute demise of humanity, cleansing the Earth of its impurity and bringing their souls salvation in the absolute darkness of death. Once that was dealt with, the entire Earth would be covered in a layer of complete darkness which the light of the Sun and the Heavens would never penetrate. Only then, could the Earth and Humanity be rebuilt from scratch, and a new purer humanity could be born.

Cosmos

Cosmo or Cosmos is the main source of power in the Saint Seiya universe, cosmo means the universe, the origin of Cosmo is the Big Bang itself that gave birth to the whole universe. Cosmo is the source of life for any living being but also the cause of existence of all the matter in the universe. However, while it is presented as a purely as destructive power, with cosmo; one can almost do anything, causing atomic destruction, cutting space-time, resisting mind-attacks or time-stop. There are several higher forms of cosmos as explained below.

• 7th Sense - A human who is deeply aware of the nature of his/her Cosmos discovers that Cosmos is actually the seventh of human perceptive senses, after the five senses and the sixth that is considered intuition/mind. With this awareness a Saint is able to draw out the true potential of his Cosmos and to achieve exceptionally extraordinary feats, far beyond those of even a normal cosmos user.

• 8th Sense - As an Olympic God, Hades has complete mastery of the 8th sense and his soul. Capable of reviving at will as long as he still has a soul.

• 9th Sense/Big Will/Dunamis - This is the name as the divine Cosmos it is often referred. It's mentioned in the Hypermyth as the true essence of Cosmos, a source of power and existence without boundaries. Gods possess this full awareness of Cosmos as they would be cosmos itself. Powers granted by this knowledge are absolutely infinite, but only higher Gods are fully aware of this power, while minor Gods, although being hundred times stronger than even the strongest human warriors, are far from the absolute and unlimited power. The 9th Sense is the power of the Big Bang which created the universe.

WEAPON: SWORD OF HADES

The Sword of Hades, as it's name implies, is the primary weapon of Emperor Hades, God of the Underworld.

• Divine Curse - Through his sword his lingering hate could inflict a transcendental wound (shaped as his sword, invisible except to Gods) that blocks the life force and power of his enemy, inducing a coma and eventually causes death through the sword slowly moving into the body of the victim. It was used against God Cloth Seiya so he would never reincarnate again and even after his death, the Olympic Gods cannot remove it. Prompting Athena to time travel to the past to change history. (Next Dimension)

• Lightning of Darkness - Hades surrounds his Divine Sword with his immense Cosmos, making it so that an incredible aura of deep crimson light begins emanating from it. Then, moving his arm and swinging his blade at amazing speeds, a powerful wave of absolute Cosmic Energy is released, slicing through and atomically destroying all that lies within it's path.

FEATS

Most of Hades feats come from fighting the 5 God Cloth Saints, so I will give some context on how strong they are.

Rhadamanthys one of the Magnates of the Specters kills three Gold Saints at the same time. Manga version

Thanatos and Hypnos are stronger than the Magnates/Generals of the Specters, but they are still much weaker than Hades himself. Thanatos then casually defeats the 5 MCs with the Gold Cloths and shatters them with one attack. The Gold Cloths can tank Saga's Galaxian Explosion without a scratch. Thanatos stomped the MCs with Gold Cloths on. Then Seiya with his God Cloth easily kills Thanatos. Bronze God Cloths are infinitely close to a Kamui/Real God Cloth which only the Olympic Gods have. Hades wasn't even wearing his and he was casually above 5 God Cloth Saints with his Surplice.

STRENGTH

• Telekinetically knocks down Seiya and Ikki

• Casually blocks the combined attack of 3 God Cloth Saints

• With one casual use of Lightning of Darkness, he knocks down all 5 God Cloth Saints

• Knocks Athena with her cloth down with one swing of his sword

DURABILITY

• Takes the combined attacks of Seiya, Shun, Shiryu, Hyoga, and Ikki. only receives a minor cut

• Ignored God Cloth Hyoga's Diamond Dust which is hundreds of degrees below absolute zero. The vastly weaker Hypnos and Thanatos need temperatures hundreds of degrees below absolute zero to freeze. Hyoga in his God Cloth later defeats Hypnos with the same Diamond Dust

• A surprise Ryu Sei Ken from Seiya only manages to damage him slightly

SPEED/REACTIONS

• Reacts to a surprise combined attack of God Cloth Shun, Hyoga, and Shiryu.

• Reacts to a Ryu Sei Ken from God Cloth Seiya and breaks through it with a swing of his sword, hitting Seiya

MISC

• Hades has complete control over all life, his presence instantly kills everything within his vicinity and rejects all forms of life

• While in his weakened form possessing Shun's body, he casually moves the solar system with a thought from The Underworld

• In his true body, he created The Underworld, the infinite sized Elysion and the Hyperdimension. Supporting them with his cosmos. They collapse after his death disappearing. The Hyper Dimension is as large as the Universe or even larger. More info on its size here

• Using his technique Greatest Eclipse through his Divine Will, Hades has all the Solar System's planets shift their positioning at incredible speeds, until all eventually form a perfect alignment. On Earth, the moon slowly covers the Sun in an Eclipse that can be simultaneously observed from all places in the planet. Merely gazing at the event shatters the hopes in mortal's souls, and the shadows that cover the surface bring despair to all. Once the Eclipse is concluded the Underworld will engulf the world, and mankind will cease to exist. Databook

• Hades can resurrect his Specters and any being of his choosing by will, and bring the end of mortal lives by will

• Hades is capable of possessing people with his soul, he only chooses the purest human at the time his soul reincarnates on Earth.

• Hades can create a barrier that renders his enemies nearly powerless

• The Olympic Gods can manipulate causality. As shown by Athena. Divine Ichor grants resistance to it.

• Divine Reflection, an innate ability of the Gods, any attack without divine cosmos is reflected back to its user. (Note - God Cloth Saints bypass the reflection via Divine Ichor)

• A basic power set of the Saint Seiya verse, Hades can manipulate atoms and destroy them
