Which Pokemon would do the best on regular Earth?
Post Body

On February 27th 1996, ten of each non-legendary pre-evolved Pokemon are placed somewhere on Earth. The winner is the species with the highest population on February 27th 2016.

  • Each species is placed in an area that will be best for it (Magikarp in the middle of the ocean, Trubbish in a giant garbage dump, Pidgey in a tree somewhere, etc).

  • The Pokemon will have to fight against each other and other regular wild animals. Humans know about the Pokemon arriving and won't kill them until provoked.

  • Pokemon aren't particularlly trying to compete, just survive, and are as smart as regular animals. Basically, no bloodlust.

  • No catching Pokemon with Pokeballs, but training them like you would a dog is acceptable.

  • Pokemon can't die through age (but can be killed by fainting), and can inbreed with no issues.

  • Leveling is treated as it is ingame (the more you kill, the more exp you get, higher levels get more moves.)

  • Evolutions that require trading or items are unnable to be accessed.

  • We shall assume the Pokemon anatomy works, so no saying "Snorlax collapses under it's own weight!"

  • Pokedex entries are cannon unless contradictory to earlier entries, in which case go with the latest entry.

Which Pokemon has the highest population by 2/27/16?
