"To die... to be really dead... that must be glorious. There are far worse things awaiting man than death."
Featuring... Count Dracula!
Count Dracula. You know who he is. A vampire count from Transylvania, Dracula travelled to London to purchase real estate and expand the reach of his power. Preying upon the young women of the city, he set his sights upon Mina Seward and so drew the attention of Doctor Abraham Van Helsing, who would successfully track him down and put a stake through his heart, ending his threat once and for all.
Except that wasn't the end. While his descendants would go on to cause trouble over the next few films years, the original Dracula's bones wound up in a show of travelling horrors, where the stake in his heart was finally removed, returning the Count to his twisted unlife. The reanimated vampire resumed his predatory lifestyle, coming into conflict with Frankenstein's Monster and the Wolf Man. He was last seen being snatched from the air and dragged down to the sea by the Wolf Man, with his survival unknown.
This thread serves as an introduction to this version of Dracula. For a complete repository of his feats, check out his Respect Thread.
Feats
Physicals
- While Dracula is strong enough to lift a man with one hand, he does not typically fight physically, instead relying on his array of vampiric powers
- Kills a girl by feeding on her
- Van Helsing states that bullets cannot harm Dracula
Hypnotism
Dracula can hypnotise his targets with his gaze, bending people to his will. Once he has hypnotised a victim, he is able to reassert his control from a distance, although it appears more difficult. A strong enough will can resist this control.
- Knocks two people out with his gaze
- Enthralls a woman before draining her blood, turning her into his servant
- Bewitches a woman into playing a song she doesn't know
- Hypnotises a nurse into removing wolfbane that bars his way
- Renfield describes him commanding rats and controlling mist
- Dracula can communicate with his thralls telepathically
Transformation
Telekinesis
Misc
- Wipes out a ship's crew en route to London
- Unlike many depictions of vampires, Dracula is entirely capable of entering a house uninvited
- As a vampire, Dracula has no reflection
Weaknesses
- After being staked and reanimated, exposure to the sun will immediately reduce him to a mere skeleton
- Wolfbane fends off Dracula and his minions, and can be used to bar his entry
- Dracula cannot stand the presence of a crucifix, and will be driven away if exposed to one
- Dracula must feed on blood to survive, and must rest in the earth of his homeland during the day
"I never drink... wine."
