I just had a stress test done at a cardiologist office. I’ve had some fluttering going on and chronic fatigue, so we’re trying to rule everything out. I had to get my heart rate up to 170 and keep it there for 2 mins. The whoop strap shows my heart rate getting up to 142. I was at 150 or higher for 4 mins or so. I’m assuming the electrodes are far more accurate than a whoop strap but I’m surprised to see 30 bpm difference.
I guess it’s time to see if there’s something wrong with my strap but I was hopeful to see a similar number. I don’t think my heart is the issue with what’s going on with my health, so I unfortunately don’t think I’ll get a chance to compare again.
Besides a faulty whoop strap, what else could be the reason for such variation?
I have a screen shot of the whoop strap’s readings but can’t figure out how to send a photo?
