Just so everyone knows....
The White Sox currently sit at a 17 game losing streak. The longest losing streak in MLB history is 23 which is held by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies but in baseball history, the 1889 Louisville Colonels lost 26 in a row.
The White Sox are currently on pace to break the record for most losses in a season in MLB history which is 120 held by the 1962 NY Mets. The White Sox would need to go 43-119 which is 16-35 over the last 51 games to avoid the record.
But most importantly, the worst winning percentage is held by the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics who went 36-117 with a .235 winning percentage. The White Sox currently have a .243 winning percentage which would be the 2nd worst team in MLB history if they keep up the pace. The White Sox need to go 39-123 to avoid having the worst winning percentage of all time. They need to go 12-39 the rest of the way to avoid it.
