I've seen many of my fellow Children calling to ban the users that pop in just to downvote and comment on posts with "misinformation, lies, and insults", I wanted to make this post to put forward some reasons why that won't be happening, so you know you aren't just being ignored.
1) They aren't breaking sub rules: You might call it brigading, but an individual deciding to downvote everything isn't bannable, if there was a group that had been formed with the purpose of attempting sabatoge, that would be different.
2) They aren't breaking site wide rules: pretty self explanatory.
3) They help us: here's a big one. Their comments are engagement, that means they make it more likely someone else will see us.
'but won't see a comment calling this sub racist turn potential members away?' I don't think so, some of our most vigilant supporters only can't here after hearing how we are a vile pit of bigots, and saw it was a lie, and chose to stay. And if that comment is immature and childish, then the emotional response of the viewer will be to side against it, and therefore, with us. And if that comment is calm and mature, then the viewer sees that this is a place for open discussion without fear of being banned for having an unpopular opinion.
Just my thoughts.
