Greetings. It's my month to host poker night tomorrow, and the rule is that the host has a $250 budget for three bottles of whiskey, with the goal being to impress. I'm not much of a whiskey guy outside of Irish, and I spent about 20 mins researching bourbons and ryes in this sub and was completely overwhelmed LOL.
I'm already spending $110 on RB12 CS, so that leaves me with about $140 left.
I would like to purchase both a nice bourbon and a rye. It doesn't have to be split 50/50, I'll spend $90 on a really good rye and $50 on a bourbon if that gets me the best bang for my buck.
I would greatly appreciate if you fine folks might be able to recommend both a rye and a bourbon in the $50 - $90 ranges, trying to stay around $140ish combined. I know that location impacts price, but not a huge deal if I go a little over budget.
Thank you!
