General discussion about "collecting"
Post Body

Since I've joined this sub I've learned a lot about good whiskeys and price points, which is what I joined for In the first place. However I see quite a lot of posts where people are nagging others for collecting all the good whiskey then have it sit unopened on their shelf (Especially when someone has a massive bar in their home and might have several unopened bottles that are sought after) My question is, why do people get so uptight about it? I can understand the hate on scalpers, but if someone gets their hands on a bottle and wants to hold onto it for a special occasion then why fuss about it? Why does it matter whether they drink it or collect it, either way you aren't going to be able to get that bottle so why is one better than the other? Don't tear my head off I'm looking to be enlightened on this because I'm genuinely curious. Cheers.
