Long story short, I’ve been off the bike for 15 months due to a back injury but back riding again looking to build a somewhat timeless, keeper N 1 bike. The one! Not looking at carbon or the newest whiz-bang brands - something that will stand the test of time with a few upgrades along the way. I ride 3-400 miles a week with a good amount of climbing, so it can’t just look pretty. Up until a couple of years ago, my dream bike would have looked a lot like a Speedvagen or similar but feels like the custom category has exploded over the last couple of years. Bikes in looking at would be: Speedvagen (obviously) Belle Firefly Mosaic Breadwinner Prova Festka FiftyOne Sage Moots Pursuit English
All boutique builders, mostly here in the US, expensive yes, but cheaper than the tens of thousands I’ve spent on doctors bills over the last couple of years and cheaper than therapy!
So anyone out there riding any of these modern masterpieces or any thoughts on where to just in line?
