Hello everyone - looking for some upgrade advice. I'm currently riding a 2019 Giant Defy Advanced 2. It's served me well for the time I've had it and I've had no major complaints. I've been thinking about making a switch to a TCR since I also have a Giant Revolt gravel bike that is great for off-road and I'd like to add some speed/shed some weight for my roadie.

I've come across a used 2019 Giant TCR advanced pro 1. The cost would be an extra $400 over what I can get for the defy. The TCR would enable me to upgrade the braking system (hybrid to full hydraulic) and the wheels (alum to carbon) though it probably has a few more miles on it than mine.

Do you think this would be worth the upgrade? I know the component upgrades are probably worth it on their own but alternative might be to hold on for now and by something newer in a couple years. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks!
