Wheelchair dying going up hills
Post Body

I have a quantum power chair and I am having a torque issue. This chair has seen work over the last year with wagons attached to it. Now even with new batteries I am struggling to go up inclines. The chair will slow, briefly slow harder and then the controller will beep and shutoff. I can travel about 1 mile at full speed before hitting the hill and there will be no issues at all. After the hill and the entire rest of the trip it is constantly hard stopping and dying on me. I can park it and come back a few hours later all is good with no issues (until a hill). It is Phoenix and gets warm out. I believe this is a temperature issue and something is overheating. Would the sole culprit be the moror(s) or could there be another variable? Would it be worth pulling the motor and gearbox apart to clean it out and put fresh oil/grease in???
