With a budget of over $500,000, legendary costume designer Edith Head created Shirley McLaine's chic and lavish looks in What a Way to Go! (1964), a movie directed by J. Lee Thompson. Harry Winston provided roughly $3.5 million in jewels, while the matching elaborate hairstyles was crafted by hairstylist Sidney Guilaroff.
Edith Head and Moss Mabry (who handled the costumes for the rest of the cast) would go on to garner a Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design, though Cecil Beaton's work for My Fair Lady won.
I LOVE THEM ALL!!!
