Post Body

Hi! I found this tonight in my yard. It's roughly the size of a softball, and rather heavy. At first, I thought it was just a chunk of red brick that was partially buried, but It seems to have chunks of something mixed into it. The surface sparkles in the light. I tried to use a pocket knife to scrape one of the chunks, but it was ineffective. I haven't tried the penny test, but it can definitely scratch glass. I photographed various angles with flash, without, and a few shots using the "night" setting.

What kind of rock is this?
