Mystery Cactus from Home Depot

Here's a picture:
My mom bought it for me, it came from Home Depot. It had a flower hot glued onto it, which I removed carefully with a hair dryer. Doesn't have any odor, is growing slowly but I don't know how, I really neglect this plant. The spikes aren't very sharp. The surface feels kind of like a wire brush I guess. As it grows the bumps on it get more pronounced. When I just got the cactus they were very subtle.
