Trying to ID some yard plants in SW Idaho. The soil is shallow, more sand and rock rather than clay. The first shrub (?) is grey-ish sorta purple, and has mostly been that color from last October to now. Right now it’s kinda dry and crispy, but still alive.
The green plant with the dry dead leaves (?) on it appears to maybe be a bulb-rooted(I have no idea if that’s the right term for it) perennial. The dead beige parts were green and upright in October, but dried out over the winter. The green parts appeared as shoots a month or so ago, and have been growing with absolutely no inference from me.
The smaller green plant has reddish tips on some of the leaves. There are a lot of these in the yard, and I can’t tell if they’re overgrown weeds or something else. They’ve stayed green and alive all winter, and they have a grass-like feel/texture.
Thanks in advance for your help!
