Trying to find a movie which I think was British

It had an older man with dark hair (ethnic looking) as the Dad and his family from memory were kidnapped and the daughter fell in love with the kidnapper and then possibly got pregnant by him years later? And I don’t think she wanted to know the Dad. It was a type of mystery/thriller.
I should add, I think it was in the 90’s and seemed like one of those b grade tv movies.
