I remember reading a fantasy book several years ago, I can only remember 1 scene.

A woman was traveling with friends or guards, they came across a field with dead animals, she used her power/magic to bring them back to life instantly and fainted.

shes still learning her power, few pages or chapter on, shes slowly healing some seals, takes half hour.

The field of dead animals was because a guy was captured and drugged, he turned into a bird to escape, smaller body meant the drug affected him worse, as a drugged up bird he hid in a tree stump or log? while the evil guy as a falcon or pet falcon hunted and killed the animals in the field trying to find which one he was.
