I remember reading this book at the very least a few years ago - probably closer to early 2000s.

It’s a series of short stories and the first one is the title of the book. The story is about a couple who plays a game where they occasionally pretend that they’re hiding from Nazis.

The second couple comes over for dinner and for some reason they encourage them to try it and the wife of the second couple realizes that she doesn’t believe her husband would hide her.

I want to say the first couple is a married Jewish couple and the second one isn’t? I thought it was called “playing Anne Frank” but that doesn’t bring up anything.I thought Anne Franks name was in the title.

I don’t remember any of the other stories in the book, but I’m fairly positive it was a collection of short stories.
