So this has been killing me for months now. Here's what I can remember.

MC meets the gods of chaos and order, and the God of chaos likes him and throws him in a prison with training materials so that he can train in peace. The MC breaks out.

MC soaks in dragon blood part way through the series and gives him a bloodline that helps him absorb more energy from special foods that he eats.

He joins a magic academy/sect.

He learns a self-taught sword style that combines the intents of sealing and (I think) severing.

He gets sent on a mission to a land where there are powerful swordsmen who hate magic. They are trained to be able to kill mages.

He gains a living shadow weapon. He eventually learns that the "knights" in the land of swordsmen all have these types of weapons as well.

I read this novel online a couple of years ago, but I can't remember what website. Hope someone has an idea of the title. This has been driving me nuts.
