Fictional Novel Hard time remembering plot I read it 20 years ago but this is what I remember: definitely set in a time where there is not technology, using candles and torches as light source, horseback etc The man of the house is suspected to be vampire at first later confirmed when she finds his hidden room with coffin. Main character is a female who falls in love with the vampire. He definitely drinks from her. These things are what I remember well.

Things that may or may not be real: a big fire at the end of the book. Vampires hurt her family in some way.

Physical description: it was a paperback, I recall a neck with bite marks (I feel like all vampire books have this) I want to say the word Vampire was in the title or the word blood or kiss but I could be misremembering.

I read it in the late 90s when I still had to go to the library for internet access…. I borrowed it from the library and I was approx 10-12yrs, book was probably not age appropriate but also didn’t contain explicit sex scenes.
