A book about a widow and how she and her children cope after his death
Post Body

So the book starts with the husband, a previous mayor in a NY town, who pulls off to the side of the road when he sees a middle eastern man being brutalized by cops. The police attack the man and he ends up having a heart attack and dying. The book revolves around his wife who has to learn to be her own person, she learns she doesn't really like most of her kids, 1 who is a principal and ends up getting a disorder where she plucks her own hair out, the other daughter who is a stay at home mom or something, the son who runs the dads publishing company but is secretly just a crazy sociopath, and the other son who end up being gay, and lives in a commune type community farmhouse. The widow ends up falling in love with a photographer who took her picture while she was grieving her husband at the cemetery, and her family hates him because he is Spanish or of Spanish descent or something? I bought the book from a B&N back in 2020, it was in the bestseller section.
