Post Body

First post to the group. Rally hopeful to get some leads here. 😬

I read this book sometime between 1988 and 1992. It was a hardcover translation of what to (young) me felt like an older book. Plot seemed to be aimed at YA/adults.

The plot follows someone who goes undercover in a mad scientist (engineer's) hidden city/weapons factory, where he...well, builds weapons. Very A-la "Sky Captain". Other than that, and the fact that the villain is described as eating sausage and sauerkraut for dinner every day, I honestly can't remember anything else.

Any ideas appreciated.
