I’m sorry in advance because I have very little information other than my very faded memories, but I remember reading a book when I was younger (sometime in the 2000-2005 era) that featured a system of magic where the color of a persons magic determined their class. I want to say that red magic was valuable where as blue and purple were considered weaker and more common. I’m so sorry it’s so little to go on but I remember the book was pretty thin and a scholastic title (or other similar middle school level publisher).
