I remember issuing this book from the library had to 2 weeks and returned it back cause it was the end of the term but now I can't remember the title of it and I really wanna know,

It started with this guy who came to a shady town like in mysterious to inspect a company, factory can't remember at the beginning he's at this hotel and The only thing i can remember was that he has breakfast at this hotel but idk an incident happens with one of the other people in the restaurant then i remember him being in the toilet goes out to call a taxi or something.

i'm being vague because i read it two years ago and have been searching for it ever since i think it had a blue cover everything about this town is mysterious and freaky idk if i remember it correctly but were the people even had names. If someone pieces together the book from the above I'd be forever grateful!
