I don’t know if I remember enough details to figure this out, but I’m trying to remember a book I read in school 20 years ago. It was about a girl who met another girl and felt they were connected for some reason. The other girl lived in a different country, and she asked her to think of her at x date and time to see if it was real, forgetting about the time difference so it failed. I feel like the girl was drowning and was saved by this girl at the beginning of the book?
