I had this book when I was a kid. It was about a little old man who never learned to read, and what happened to him when he went grocery shopping. He bought the packages that looked correct, but when he got home he realized that it was all wrong. I remember one of the things he tried to buy was oatmeal, and one of the wrong things he ended up with was soap flakes. I also remember that he bought what he thought was milk, but it ended up being buttermilk. I was trying to explain to my dyslexic son why it’s so important that he go to his special tutoring sessions, and this book flooded back into my mind. I can’t remember the name, but I’d love to get it for him. Does anyone remember it?
