The story I'm trying to find goes like this... A person/being is approached by a god like character who is trying to collect his various body parts that had been scattered around the world. (I do not remember why.). The person possesses the gods face and doesn't want to give it back, because it is his face. They have a long debate over possession of the face, and I remember it ending with the god receiving his request.

I've found the breakdown of stories by book for the 20 Mammoth books, but none of the titles seem familiar. I considered Clive Barker, but can't find anything familiar there either. I've tried here before with no luck, maybe I can catch the right person at the right time. Thanks for any help.
