Post Body

Hi all!

I’ll post what I am fairly sure is actual memory, but it’s been some time and I only read it once. It’s still with me though.

Female protagonist is an early teen. Story centers around her for nearly all the book. She was raised as far as I remember by a female alien on her ship? House? She is tasked with learning of her species and the end of earth. She is pretty bored but treated with kindness and has a “love” of her caretaker.

She is not allowed to leave the living space.

The female alien I remember being large and furry. I remember the MC commenting on her softness while they hugged.

The alien is very concerned with the display of violence humans have shown in their history. The alien fears this is inherent in the young girl.

Turns out, a boy is also being kept at a different home by a male alien. They are kept separated for safety (ie violence fears). I believe the aliens intend to breed them at some point.

It’s kinda romantic in a YA way. I kinda remember the aliens being lovers as well.

I apologize for no ending. It’s gone in my mind now.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
