Heyo guys, I got a real head stomper for you guys. I read this book when I was a teenager(less than 10 years ago). Here is the plot that I can remember:

Female MC(name might be Kat?) that lives with her father that is a low level government bureaucrat. She goes into his office to find some damning evidence of corruption and runs away. She hides on a spaceship that harbor space merchants(but secretly rebels). They find her and she pretends to be a boy so she isn't kicked off.

She works for them and she develops a crush with one of the boys on the ship. Somewhere along the way they find out the government is using children for their war and the king/queen have been kidnapped/gone missing. Boy finds out she is a girl and is pissed off.

They prepare and look for the missing king and queen. They find them and work out a plan to take over the government. During the assault, the boy she crushed on dies and she marries the prince of the country after everything is said and done.

end of story.
