An anthology of western stories

One specific story comes to mind, there's a young girl who lives in a town filled with outright terrible people, including her family that she loves even if they're just as terrible as everyone else. One day she finds a "magic/sentient" revolver that can only shoot to kill "evil". It goes off and as more and more people become panicked/angry at the number of killings that have just occurred.
The story ends with the girl crying as she leaves town devoid of life.
