I have some disabilities (ADHD, ASD), so converting my thoughts into spoken/written/typed words is somewhat difficult, but I'm not stupid. I see bad things happening in our government. We are moving toward oppression, theocracy, totalitarianism, authoritarianism, etc. It's not good. The supreme court is set to decide whether states can gerrymander their districts without oversight, and I don't have a good feeling about what they will decide, though I would love to be wrong. The police are on the side of the corrupt, the democratic party is either impotent or complicit, and I am definitely in a position to be harmed by the direction we're going in. I'm transgender and bisexual, so I'm definitely not liked by the republican party, and they're the ones that seem to have put our government into a position of check. If nothing is done about this upcoming decision, we (the citizens of the US) lose, and the democratic party doesn't have a history of doing much to stop things like this recently.
My disabilities have made it incredibly difficult to even function in day-to-day life, so I don't have a job, savings, income, etc. I'm completely vulnerable. I've tried my hardest to be independent, but I'm just not up to the task yet, and I'm not sure that I ever will be.
I am scared and anxious and I want to leave for somewhere that isn't currently falling over the precipice of evil, corruption, insanity, etc. I want to live somewhere stable, somewhere where I don't have to be afraid of persecution or oppression for being transgender or bisexual, and somewhere that will accommodate my disabilities enough to help me be able to live a fulfilling life.
I am not formally or informally educated in politics or the legal system, but I have good perception, and my perception is telling me something is very, very wrong, and there is great danger approaching much faster than I thought it was.
