I search for film. Other subreddits didn't help, maybe someone here will help. Colored TV film, probably 1970-1999 (wide range). Style more likely for 80's-90's. Mexican-like film, but location might be California or other too.Â
Can't remember exact plot, just few scenes from it.
Film is a drama about main hero Latino roots (Mexican?) who is in some small city. Drug mafia? or just bandits? (also Latinos) act in that city. They start to demand money from him, beat him hard and give him measured time to bring money.
Main hero is not a standard cool hero of action movies. I can't remember, if he ever kill anyone in that film. Film is not about strong main hero killing all bandits. It's more like bad ended depressing drama.
Small details - main hero take care of a boy (7-12 y.o?).
If I'm not mistaken, there are night scenes, that were shot at the beach.
Film is dramatic and depressing, main hero is killed in the end of film.
This small city has ferris wheel and something like a place, where locals gather (fair?). City looks very small and very rural.
I checked IBMD advanced search, but no results. Also people supposed, it was El Mariachi or American me, but both are wrong. Maybe someone can remember it?
