Would buying a Volkswagen Beetle be a bad idea?

I’m looking into buying a new car and one of favorite models is the Beetle (loved Herbie as a kid), but unfortunately learned they were discontinued in 2019, though of course they’re still being sold used

I’m not much a car person so from someone more informed would buying this car be a bad idea because of possible lack of parts on the market?

The car would only be used to take me from A to B in my city each day and doing chores with nothing major and I doubt I’ll be taking any major road trips with it
