My girlfriend and I are both big - I'm 5'10" and 200 lbs, she's 5'9" and 350. Of course we both have back & hip issues.
She also has leg & foot pain from an old injury so she needs lots of leg room as the passenger. I have 36" inseam and need the same as the driver.
The most comfy car we've had or ridden in was a '79 Mercedes 300TD.
I currently drive an '02 VW Cabrio and adore it but the passenger seat is painful for her, not enough leg room in passenger side, and the bucket seat sucks for her.
Are there convertibles (older is fine) that would be better?
Or is it possible to replace the passenger seat and move it back further for under $1,000 or so? Is there non-bucket seat that would fit in that spot? It's ok if no one would be able to use the back seat behind her, we don't use it much.
Thanks guys!
